Situated to the North-West of Montalcino, the SassodiSole estate is in the middle of the hilly Tuscan countryside. It is spread out on a surface of 45 hectares of which 5 are covered with vineyards, one with olive groves and the rest with arable land and woods. It is farmed by the family who owns it.

The estate has the rare peculiarity of being both within the Township of Montalcino (production area of Brunello di Montalcino D.O.C.G. and Rosso di Montalcino D.O.C.) and within the Natural Artistic Park of the Val d’Orcia (production area of the Vino d’Orcia D.O.C.).

The vineyards entirely planted with the autochthonous Sangiovese variety, are situated at an altitude between 280 and 320 metres above sea level, on medium composition stony soil with a prevalent Southeast exposure.

The winery located in the middle of the estate, is a perfect example of the Terzuoli family’s aspiration to the right marriage of innovation and respect for the Montalcino wine tradition; with the result that the technological progress of the new millennium goes hand in hand with a careful manual selection of the grapes and an aging process in barrels of Slavonian oak.
